Everyone who visits us knows we’re a Little Shop of Horrors, but did you also know that at this time of year your houseplants are screaming out for dinner?

With longer daylight hours and extra warmth your little green monsters are yawning, stretching, coming out of hibernation and they’re starving!

So, dose up with regular helpings of plant food and you will enable them to grow more foliage and help them to resist disease.
Mmmmmmmmm!!

Heavenly scented

They say that smell is the strongest of memory stimulants.
So when planning your big day don’t forget to smell the roses, and all the other flowers you may want.

If you are not prone to fits of sneezing over flowers, like some of our brides, then why not go all the way.

Lily of the valley, hyacinths and jasmine make this bouquet one to be sniffed at your whole wedding day through.

Add a little rosemary and thyme and it will smell good enough to eat!

Welcome to the Spring

Well Mother’s Day has passed for another year but the spring flowers are still blooming.

Enjoy them while they last though, because it will be Hydrangea and Sweet Peas before you know it.

Can’t say we’ll be too sad about that though!

This year Mothering Sunday falls on Sunday March the 14th.

We are open from 8am on Saturday and luckily the Calcutta Cup doesn’t start until 5pm so you have plenty of time to pick up something fantastic for the lady in your life…

for the rest of you spontaneous/slovenly children we will be open from 10am - 4pm on Sunday.

Oh and Happy Mothers Day to our Mums…they’re blooming marvelous!

Love is all around us with the wedding season in full swing. Flirty gerberas, massed roses and relaxed spring posies in all colours of the rainbow are the favourites this year, though with another 10 months ahead of us that can all change!

Ok, so maybe we’re pushing it with spring, but at least the weather is warming up!

As for scent we have that by the noseful with the heady whiffs of Hyacinth, Jasmin and Narcissus.

For us, spring has most definitely sprung…
